Ahmadi Muslims support Ukrainian refugees
Luton and Milton Keynes
Volunteers from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Communities in Luton and Milton Keynes have been collecting donations over the months of March and April, from their community members. Essential items to help Ukrainian refugees were donated to a local charity. These items included sleeping bags, blankets, first aid kits, warm clothing and basic food items.
These supplies are being transported to Poland and Ukraine on a weekly basis.
Edinburgh and Fife
On 1 April 2022, members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Edinburgh and Fife volunteered to sort out donations from members of the public, for Ukrainian refugees. This involved organising, packing and then labelling boxes of donations which were then transported to Poland, for the Ukrainian refugees.
Parcels included food items, toiletries and warm clothing, for over two million Ukrainian refuges who have fled their country into Poland, since the start of the war in February 2022.
