Free bottled water given out at Shipley stall in heatwave
Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Bradford distributed nearly 200 bottles of ice-cold water to the public at a pop-up stall in Shipley town centre.
Dr Abid Ahmad, a representative for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, said: “Extreme heat can affect anyone, particularly older people, vulnerable individuals, and those working or travelling outdoors.Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Bradford distributed nearly 200 bottles of ice-cold water to the public at a pop-up stall in Shipley town centre.
Dr Abid Ahmad, a representative for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, said: “Extreme heat can affect anyone, particularly older people, vulnerable individuals, and those working or travelling outdoors.The outreach was launched as the UK faced its third heatwave, with temperatures rising above 30°C.Volunteers offered refreshments to everyone, regardless of faith or background, and used the opportunity to engage with the wider public.
The association said: “The community’s efforts are guided by the core Islamic principle of compassion and the global motto, ‘Love for All, Hatred for None’.”
