The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association is a worldwide religious organisation with tens of millions of followers in over 200 countries around the world. Its motto is “Love for All, Hatred for None.”
During the festive period, the Youth and Ladies’ organisations of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Leamington Spa dedicated time to serving the local community through a range of charitable activities.
Chocolates and biscuits were distributed to staff and residents at Myton Hospice, as well as to patients in the wards of the Central England Rehabilitation Unit. In addition, children from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community prepared and presented gifts for children admitted to the Children’s Ward at South Warwickshire University Hospital.Members of the wider local community were also supported through the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Food Bank, based at Baitul Ehsan Mosque on Riverside, Adelaide Road, Leamington Spa. The Ladies’ Association further contributed by preparing hot meals for individuals benefiting from support through LWS Night Shelter.
The Youth Association marked the New Year by gathering at the mosque to pray for peace across the world. Following this, the youth members visited the streets of Leamington Spa town centre to take part in litter picking, as part of their ongoing initiative to help keep the environment clean.
Speaking about these initiatives, representatives of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Leamington Spa highlighted that serving humanity is a core principle of their faith, regardless of background or belief. Such activities form part of the community’s wider charitable work across the UK.
