New Year’s Message by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
“The New Year began yesterday, and people are congratulating one another. We should all pray that this coming year is one of great blessings. Moreover, may Allah frustrate all the schemes of the opponents of Ahmadiyyat and may He grant the Jamaat even more progress.
Many of us who are fortunate to be free in other countries are able to celebrate the new year openly while living in these free countries… In these times, we must remember our brothers who are imprisoned due to their faith. In Pakistan, as I mentioned before, Mr Mubarak Saani has been given a life sentence in jail and others are also enduring conditions of imprisonment. Even in these conditions, they are entering the new year with the gratitude of Allah in mind. They have no complaints. For the sake and pleasure of Allah, they have donned iron chains. May Allah grant them freedom soon.
May we all attain the love of Allah more than ever before. In times of difficulty, rather than weakening in our love of God, we should increase more than ever.
Pray for all those oppressed in the world. May Allah liberate them from the clutches of the unjust and may peace prevail in the world.”
