Muslim community feed the homeless on Christmas Day
While many were sitting at home on Christmas Day, tucking in to a good turkey or two, not everybody was that fortunate.
Some were just looking to find that next meal as they dealt with being homeless.
That is when the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association from Wimbledon Park stepped in.
Members of the group went out on Christmas Day to feed the homeless outside Zimbabwe House London.
Muhammad Ahmad, the regional youth coordinator, said: ”Young Ahmadi Muslims took time out of their day to try and make a difference to the lives of so many people who are homeless.
“The youth had themselves been making preparation for the food included chicken curry, chicken jalfrezi, pasta, rice and also had fruits and cake.
“This was a great opportunity for us to fulfil our Islamic duty of serving the needy and to follow in the examples of the Prophet Muhammad.”
