Meet the young Brummies working behind the scenes to give back to communities
Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth have planted hundreds of trees, visited 19 care homes and hospitals and served 500 hot meals across the region. As families across the region celebrated the festive season, a group of young Muslims were working behind the scenes to give back to their communities.
Through their winter campaign, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community have been busy planting trees, donating to the food bank and visiting care homes across the West Midlands. The faith organisation have visited 19 care homes and hospitals, donating gifts and spending time with the residents there.
They’ve also planted a total of 800 trees in tree-planting sessions, donated over a tonne of food and household items to food banks and served 500 hot meals to those in need. A further 30 bags of clothing have been donated to local charities by the group.
Zaied Janjua Humanitarian coordinator said: “We are a faith organisation whose values are to serve humanity and to gain gods blessings through the noble work we do.
“If there is anyone who needs any support, we are here to serve you!”We’ve carried out five litter picking sessions and will plan to have another five litter picking events held simultaneously on January 1, 2026 across West Midlands.
“This is to start our year by encouraging our youth to serve the wider community and give back. “The Litter Picking sessions will be held simultaneously at five different locations across the West Midlands.”
