Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association From the Baitul Futuh Mosque Supports Local Charity
The Charity Walk for Peace (CWFP) founded in 1985 by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association (AMEA), aims to relieve the suffering of the poor, and to promote peace, understanding and goodwill amongst people from all walks of life.
The distinctive feature of the CWFP is that all organisers are unpaid volunteers. Recently, the AMEA of Baitul Futuh Mosque, in Merton, donated food to Dons Local Action Group, a charity supporting people in South West London with food, technology and more.

In response to the tweet about the donation, Dons Local Action Group responded:
“Thank you so much for this super generous donation!!.”
Siobhain McDonagh MP, local Member of Parliament (for Mitcham and Morden) also liked the Baitul Futuh Region Twitter post.
Dr Tayyab Mansoor, Baitul Futuh Mosque Regional Coordinator of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association said:
“During this challenging time, it is of great importance that we support local causes helping the vulnerable members of society. Dons Local Action Group are amazing volunteers, working to fight poverty and isolation in South West London communities. Islam teaches us to serve those who are in need during difficult times as well as during good times and this is what our volunteers do on a continuous basis.”
To date CWFP has raised more than £5.2 million and distributed the funds to over 500 UK registered charities. Details of CWFP can be found on its website: https://charitywalkforpeace.org/.
