Young Muslims collect for Annual Poppy Appeal
Dozens of young Muslims from across Croydon collected money for the Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Appeal.
The collection last Saturday, marked the fourth year local members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association have supported the annual appeal.
Mubarak Shams, Regional AMYA Youth Leader for Croydon said: “We are delighted and proud to support the Poppy Appeal which provides much needed support to World War II veterans, those subsequently injured in war, and their families.
“Lots of Muslims actually served in World War I and World War II and most have ancestors who served in the army.
