Volunteers Cook and Deliver Meals to Friends and Neighbours Ahead of the Start of Ramadhan
Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community cooked and distributed food and gifts to their friends, neighbours and colleagues in the Dewsbury, Batley and Spen Valley area ahead of the start of Ramadhan earlier this month.
More than 80 portions of rice with vegetables and chicken were cooked at home by the ladies of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association in the Spen Valley.
These were then delivered, together with chocolates, by a team of volunteers who are based at the Baitul Atta Mosque in Dewsbury.
Arif Ahmad, outreach co-ordinator of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the Spen Valley, said that the food distribution had been a real team effort.
