Three cheers for the charity walk!

The 2023 Charity Walk for Peace raised money for local causes. A record-breaking 20 cheques were dished out to worthy charities last week as the money raised from the 2023 Charity Walk for Peace was distributed.  The annual fundraiser collected over £9,915 last May, with a 5km walk around Hogmoor Inclosure in Whitehill & Bordon.  The event is run in partnership between EHDC, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association (AMEA) and the Whitehill and Bordon Community Trust, and seeks to bring the East Hampshire community together as well as raise funds for fantastic causes.

Cllr Adeel Shah, our Portfolio Holder for Community Development and Engagement, said: “The Charity Walk for Peace is getting bigger and better every year and it is great to see the community, drawing the community together to take part in an enjoyable, fun and worthwhile event.  “It was really great to be able to see the money raised by the walk going directly into the hands of local charities who do so much good work to support everyone in our community.  “And thank you to all the members of the AMEA who work so hard to make sure this event is the success it is.”
