Sheffield Muslims to join global gathering for peace and unity
Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Sheffield will join tens of thousands of participants from across the UK and more than 100 countries this week at Jalsa Salana UK 2026, the nation’s largest annual Muslim convention. Taking place from 24 to 26 July at Hadeeqatul Mahdi, Hampshire, the three-day event brings together people of different nationalities, cultures and backgrounds to promote the timeless values of peace, compassion, justice and service to humanity.
Entirely organised by volunteers, the convention operates as a temporary town with prayer facilities, accommodation, transport, catering, medical services, security and communications, demonstrating what can be achieved through voluntary service and community spirit. A delegation from Sheffield, including families, young people and volunteers, will attend the convention, with many also contributing as volunteers throughout the event. For them, Jalsa Salana is not simply an annual gathering but an opportunity to renew their commitment to serving their local communities.
