Muslims from 100 countries around the world gathered in the UK to promote world peace.
In Alton, Surrey, an unprecedented event brought together more than 40,000 Muslims from all over the world. We read in the Holy Quran that Allah does not change the condition of a people until they reform themselves. In this sense, the main purpose of this agreement is for the participants to nourish their spirituality and inner peace in order to later fulfill their role as peacemakers in their environments,” explained the essence of the agreement. Our community motto is “Love for all, hate for none.” Which brings together all the principles of our faith.”
Among the attendees were special guests from more than 100 countries: officials, diplomats, academics, journalists and civilians. Among them, Francisco Aravena, Rector of the United Nations University for Peace, highlighted the importance of this meeting: “The United Nations University and the Ahmadiyya share the values of peace, tolerance and dialogue, environmental protection, respect for international law and the well-being of humanity. The Argentine delegation was also present, arriving with the Argentine Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Mariana Plaza. Thomas Randle, who participated on behalf of the Worship Secretary, shared his experience: “I am very happy to be here in the United Kingdom and see how the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, with great effort, is realizing the spirit of family and with the help of thousands of volunteers, once again carrying out its symbolic gathering. From the Worship Secretary in Argentina, we will continue to encourage communities like this one to continue, through interfaith dialogue, to provide the moral and ethical values that our society needs to strengthen in these times.In addition to sermons and reflections, the annual Jalsa Salana is a vibrant cultural spectacle. Attendees enjoy an immersive experience that highlights the diversity and richness of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. From food to clothing to literature, every element of the convention celebrates the cultural and spiritual heritage of the participants, offering an uplifting vision of a world where respect and brotherhood are possible.
