Organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association Huddersfield, the project will see volunteers handing out vital supplies including food and clothing.
Volunteers will gather in Huddersfield Market Place between 12 and 3pm on Christmas Day.
“Although we do not celebrate Christmas, we fully understand that this is a very emotional time for many people.”
Fatihul Haq, a spokesman for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, said: “We understand that being homeless is a very difficult and trying situation, especially in these times.
“In recognition of this, we will be holding an event in Huddersfield Market Place on Christmas Day between 12 till 3 to distribute food and clothing to homeless people.
Mr Haq added: “Islam is a belief that places much importance on promoting peace, harmony, and goodwill to everyone which resonates with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association motto of love for all and hatred for none.”
Previous years have seen members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association giving lifts to care home residents in Huddersfield so they can enjoy a special Christmas lunch.
Members have also visited hospitals to hand out toys and chocolates to children and nursing staff.
Volunteers have also previously visited hospices and care homes over the Christmas period where they handed out flowers, fruit, chocolate and cards.
In 2019 Young Muslims also donated 150kg of food to local food banks and over 100 food packets were distributed to homeless people in Huddersfield and in Sheffield.
