Muslim community gather in Leamington for Big Iftar
OVER 100 guests gathered together for a Big Ifar in Leamington. The fast-breaking evening meal of Muslims in Ramadan was hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Leamington and Coventry on Saturday March 15. People from diverse backgrounds were brought together for an evening of unity, reflection and charitable giving.
The event raised over £1,000 for local charities, including Helping Hands, Galanas House Care Home, Feeding Coventry Foodbank, and the Midlands Humanity First Foodbank.And the keynote address was delivered by Imam Shahzad Ahmad of the Baitul Ehsan Mosque, who spoke on *“Human Rights in the Holy Quran”.
Chief constable of Warwickshire, Alex Franklin-Smith, and local MP Matt Western, also addressed the gathering, commending the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for their ongoing charitable efforts and dedication to fostering peace and social cohesion.The evening concluded with the breaking of the fast, symbolizing the spirit of Ramadan – a month of gratitude, reflection, and generosity.
