Muslim community donates vital supplies for Ukraine
The Muslim community of Peterborough have taken the initiative this Ramadan to do what they can to help those suffering in Ukraine.
The members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Peterborough visited the Ukrainian Church (UCC, New Road Peterborough) bringing with them hundreds of pounds worth of supplies .
The visit comes following the conflict between Russia & Ukraine which has seen millions displaced as well as creating an on-going refugee crisis.
The community donated food items, medicines, toiletries and other items needed on daily basis. This was for the people affected in war areas. The items would easily serve at least 100 needy people.
As the Muslim community rejoiced for Ramadan, members sent thoughts and prayers out to those around the world suffering from conflict and hardship.
