Meeting Held with MP Kim Johnson at Liverpool Mosque

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community recently welcomed Member of Parliament Kim Johnson, her Office Manager Cate Murphy, and Councillor Portia Fahey to a visit at the local mosque.

The visitors had a tour of the mosque, followed by a meeting in which representatives of the community shared information about their work and discussed the challenges faced by Ahmadi Muslims around the world. A short video highlighting the persecution of Ahmadis in Pakistan was also presented.

MP Kim Johnson was invited to join the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and was also invited to attend upcoming community events, including the annual Jalsa Salana convention.

Kim Johnson MP addressed a gathering at the mosque and guests were presented with copies of the Holy Qur’an and other literature about Islam.

The visit concluded with a lunch and a Qur’an exhibition, presenting the opportunity to learn more about the teachings of Islam and the work of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in promoting peace, interfaith dialogue, and community service.
