On 2 January 2022, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad held a virtual online meeting with the National Amila (Executive) of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria (Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Auxiliary), as well as regional Qaideen.
His Holiness presided the meeting from MTA Studios in Islamabad, Tilford, whilst more than 50 Amila members joined the meeting virtually from the Lajna Hall in Ojokoro in Lagos, Nigeria.
During the 65-minute meeting, all present had the opportunity to speak to His Holiness and the National Amila members were able to present a report about their respective departments and to receive the guidance and instructions of His Holiness on a range of issues.
Throughout the meeting, His Holiness emphasised the importance of activating all members of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya across the country and advised that greater attention be focused on strengthening local chapters in order to make them more active.
One of the areas His Holiness outlined for improvement was that all chapters should be given regular feedback on their local reports in order to help make improvements.
One of the attendees requested His Holiness’s prayers for success in their work.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad advised and said:
“When you yourselves work hard and pray, then my prayers will work. If you are not working hard and you are not praying for them then my prayers will not work.”
Speaking to the Mohtamim Talim, responsible for religious education of Khuddam, His Holiness outlined the importance of encouraging Amila members to read the books of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him).
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“You should ask all your Amila members to read the books of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him). Those that are very well educated should read the ‘Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam’, whilst other Khuddam should start by reading ‘Noah’s Ark’.”
Speaking to the Mohtamim Tarbiyyat, responsible for moral training of the youth, His Holiness said that they should upload an excerpt every day from the books of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) on their website for the Khuddam to read.
Speaking regarding Atfal, children aged 7-15, His Holiness said that special attention should be paid towards ensuring that all children were involved in the activities of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“Try to involve each and every Tifl in your schemes and in your programmes.”
Whilst speaking to the National President of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria at the end of the meeting, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“I wished to acquaint myself with your Amila members and that has been done. I hope Allah helps you to work hard for the betterment of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and Khuddamul Ahmadiyya and that every office bearer realises their duty that they should work for the sake of getting Allah’s pleasure.”
