Leamington Spa History Group Visit to Baitul Ehsan Mosque
Approximately 25 members of the Leamington Spa History Group recently visited Baitul Ehsan Mosque in Leamington Spa for an informative and engaging programme exploring the history, faith, and local heritage of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The visit began with a welcome from members of the mosque, followed by a series of presentations introducing guests to the origins and values of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Speakers outlined the Community’s emphasis on peace, service to society, and loyalty to one’s country, as well as its humanitarian initiatives both in the UK and internationally.
The programme also included a presentation on the history of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Leamington Spa, highlighting its longstanding presence in the town and its engagement in local charitable, interfaith, and civic activities. Guests were given insight into how the community has developed over time and contributed positively to the wider area.
A further presentation focused on historic visits to Leamington Spa by the spiritual leaders of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, reflecting on the significance of these visits and their place in the town’s shared history.

Following the talks, visitors were invited to take part in a guided tour of the mosque, where they learned about Islamic worship practices, mosque architecture, and the role of the mosque as a centre for community life. A Holy Qur’an exhibition was also arranged, displaying copies of the Qur’an in various languages and providing context about its message and teachings.

The visit concluded with refreshments and an opportunity for informal discussion, allowing members of the History Group to ask questions and engage in open dialogue. The event reflected the mosque’s ongoing commitment to fostering understanding, building bridges within the community, and welcoming visitors from all backgrounds.
