Keighley association’s Ramadan donations boost for hospice

The money was raised through member donations for Ramadan. President Mujeeb Rahman said the association tried to support the work of the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice annually. “Manorlands provides excellent care for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families – both at the hospice and in the community,” he said. “It was especially important this year not to neglect charities, despite the rising cost of living. “Our aim is to serve humanity and promote our motto, ‘love for all, hatred for none’. “Ramadan is a time when we not only give up food, but our every action should be selfless. We are told to think about those who are much less fortunate than ourselves.”
