Keighley Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association’s day of giving

MEMBERS of Keighley’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association staged a day of community giving. They visited Herncliffe Care Home in Keighley to distribute gifts to residents.

And then the group headed to the children’s ward at Airedale Hospital, to present toys donated by the Ahmadiyya community for young patients who will be spending Christmas there.

Imam and youth leader, Humza Sikander, says: “Taking part in such visits helps young people develop a sense of compassion, selflessness and responsibility towards others.”In Islam, serving humanity and fulfilling the rights of people is a fundamental part of faith, alongside worship. By giving their time to care for the elderly and bring comfort to children, these youngsters learn the true religious values expressed through actions of kindness and service.”
