Hartlepool Muslims Feed the Homeless
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hartlepool chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association (AMA) decided to distribute cooked food to homeless people. The AMA established contact with St. Aidan’s Church in Hartlepool, who run a food bank for the homeless and needy.
Hot meals were cooked at the Nasir Mosque in Hartlepool and then delivered to the food bank. So far approximately 2,000 meals have been distributed to the needy.
Separate to this, the AMA has also donated hot meals to the NHS staff at North Tees Hospital.
