Big Iftar Held At Liverpool Mosque

An interfaith Iftar was held at the Bait-ul-Lateef Mosque in Liverpool, bringing together around 81 guests from across the local community.

Among those in attendance were MP Kim Johnson, Lord Mayor Barbara Murray, Councillor Portia Fahey, community leader Simon Wong, and Police Constable Chandan Kandula.

The evening began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a short video introducing the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association and its charitable initiatives. A talk on the purpose and blessings of Ramadan highlighted the values of reflection, compassion, and service to others.

This was followed by remarks from several distinguished guests, including MP Kim Johnson and other civic and community representatives, who spoke about the importance of unity, community engagement, and interfaith understanding.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, after which guests joined in the breaking of the fast before sharing a meal together.

An exhibition was also held alongside the event, offering guests the opportunity to learn more about Islam, with a range of literature distributed to encourage greater understanding.
