New Food Bank in Leamington Spa
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Leamington Spa have set up a temporary food bank in their local mosque. The food bank is different as it offers fresh, perishable food items as this was identified a need in the local area. Volunteers have been preparing fresh food parcels, which include bread, milk, margarine, butter, cheese and eggs. The parcels are then collected by anyone who is in need from the local community. With the recent surge in food prices and energy bills, these food parcels will help families facing financial difficulties.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is considering setting up a permanent food bank, to assist people all year round.
