Doncaster mosque members celebrated for local contributions at Pride of Edlington Awards

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Doncaster of Baitul Baseer Mosque has been honoured with the Cultural Contribution Award at the prestigious Pride of Edlington Awards.

The award recognises the association’s efforts in fostering community cohesion, promoting interfaith harmony, and serving the people of Edlington and the wider Doncaster area.

The ceremony brought together local residents, volunteers, charities and community leaders to celebrate the remarkable contributions made by individuals and organisations across the town.

Receiving the award on behalf of the association, president Bilal Mahmood (pictured above) expressed his heartfelt gratitude.

He said:

“It is a great honour to receive this prestigious award.”

“There are so many wonderful communities, individuals and organisations working tirelessly to serve the people of this town. To be recognised among them is truly humbling.”

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Doncaster regularly organises food drives, community clean-up campaigns and other initiatives aimed at building bridges between people of all faiths and none.

Their efforts reflect the broader ethos of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, which emphasises service to humanity as a core religious duty.

Members of the association attribute their work to the guidance of His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Worldwide Head and Caliph of the Community, who continually teaches the importance of serving God and His creation with the utmost humility.

His Holiness reminds members that true faith is demonstrated through compassion, selflessness and unwavering dedication to the betterment of society, in accordance with the teachings of Islam.

As the Association looks ahead, it remains steadfast in its mission to serve the local community and to embody the Islamic principle and Community’s motto of “Love for All, Hatred for None”.
