Bringing together the community during Ramadan – Ahmadiyya Muslim Association

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Leamington Spa branch hosted a special Iftar Dinner on Sunday 1st March 2026 at the Baitul Ehsan Mosque on Adelaide Road, bringing together members of the wider community in a spirit of unity and fellowship. Distinguished guests included local Member of Parliament Mr Matt Western, Mayors and Deputy Mayors from across Warwickshire, representatives of Warwickshire Police, and individuals representing a broad cross-section of the local community.

The evening commenced with a guided tour of the Mosque and the Holy Qur’an Exhibition. Guests were offered an insight into Islamic teachings, the significance of Ramadan, and the peaceful message of Islam.Recitation from the Holy Qur’an.

A keynote address by Imam Ataul Mujeeb Rashid, Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Missionary in Charge UK, on the topic: “Fasting: A Spiritual Experience” The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr Ibrahim Bonsu, Regional President for the Midlands Ahmadiyya Muslim Association.

Following the programme, guests enjoyed an Iftar meal together, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for continued dialogue, friendship, and mutual understanding. The event beautifully embodied the true spirit of Ramadan — fostering unity, mutual respect, and stronger community ties.The formal proceedings concluded with a silent prayer led by Imam Ataul Mujeeb Rashid.The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a worldwide religious organisation with tens of millions of members in over 200 countries.

The Community accepts Hazarat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as the Promised Messiah and Mahdi awaited by many faiths, whose advent took place in 1889 in Qadian, India.The Community is presently led by its Worldwide Head and Caliph, Hazarat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, who continues to promote a global message of peace. The motto of the Community — “Love for All, Hatred for None” — remains central to its values and outreach.
